Nursery / Pre-School
Nursery/Pre-School
The Nursery and Pre-school programs serve children two and three years old.
Students are grouped according to age, taking into consideration emotional maturity
and development.
The major pre-school curriculum areas are:
1. Learning Activities
2. Math
3. Social Studies and Science - each teacher implements the curriculum using
a topic sheet given to all nursery, pre-school and primary teachers during
pre-planning week.
4. DLM - Development Learning Materials - this class is designed to teach and
reinforce skills through the use of manipulative objects and materials. The fine
motor skills are one area of major emphasis

of art activities are play-dough/clay, crafts, painting, cutting, coloring, and gluing.

with the playground equipment and rules. Classes work on developing large
motor skills through the use of playground and playground equipment.

principals. An Open House is held at the beginning of each school year so that
parents can fully understand the program.
